Bobby Friction and Nihal - After only six months at Radio 1 the boys picked up a prestigious Gold Sony Award for Best Specialist Radio. Bobby Friction and Nihal broadcast every Wednesday night on BBC Radio 1, and is an award winning mix of the hottest Asian Beats and Flavas. Their ear for incredible music and skills as DJs have made them one of the most in-demand names on the scene. They are the destination of choice for the newest sounds as stacks of demos from all over the world come to them for airplay. Renown for DJ sets that move from bouncing bhangra to breakbeat to Drum and Bass they are set to rock out the main room soundsystem of superclub 1015 Folsom.

Karsh Kale (Six Degrees) - With three critically acclaimed albums behind on Six Degrees Records behind him, New York based tabla player/drummer/DJ/producer Karsh Kale is one of electronic music's brightest stars. His innovative blend of panoramic influences, from East to West, past to future, organic to digital, rock to techno leads us to a sound that is unique as it is unparalleled. As a tablaplayer, drummer and remixer, Kale has worked with such greats as Baaba Maal, Zakir Hussain and Bill Laswell. Karsh wil be performing a live electronic tabla set in the main room as well as his a DJ set in the Six Degree room.

Cheb I Sabbah (Six Degrees) - Cheb i Sabbah is one of the earliest practitioners of the art of deejaying and began spinning in Paris in 1964.  He plays all over the world and holds down his 15-year Outernational Mix residency at Nickie’s every Tuesday here in SF.   Throughout his illustrious career he has collaborated and performed with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and jazz trumpeter Don Cherry, Ornette Coleman, and Paul Horn. He has produced an album for the Sub Rosa label, as well as tracks for Asphodel and Meta, and remixes for Triloka and Cleopatra Records. He has released 4 albums with Six Degrees Records, which continue to spread his popularity. On his forthcoming album, La Kahena, Les Voix Du Maghreb, Cheb i Sabbah returns to his North African roots, collaborating with some of the most distinctive female singers from the Mahgreb, recording in studios in Marrakech, San Francisco, New York and New Delhi

Dhamaal SF
Emerging from San Francisco's sprawling underground art scene, Dhamaal is a critically acclaimed artist collective. Dhamaal's monthly party has exploded into one of the most innovative and creative events in San Francisco and consistently draws the largest crowds of any active showcase of South Asian infused electronica in the world. Six years of evolving audio, video and fine art hybrids of South Asian art and culture has been recognized by SF with the Bay Guardian's “Best of the Bay Award” being awarded two years in a row for Best Electronic Act, and Dhamaal Cofounder Janaka Selekta receiving the award for Best DJ in the 2004 readers poll.
2004 also saw the crew release their debut album, perform with Asian Dub Foundation Soundsystem in the UK and Janaka Selekta perform live on BBC radio.

Sukhawat Ali Khan and Riffat Sultana are the children of Ustad Salamat Ali Khan, who was universally recognized and acclaimed as the finest Pakistani Classical singer of his time. Their family represents a 500-year lineage of musicians hailing from the Sham Chaurasi Gharana (school of music). The two have recorded for numerous labels including Ark 21/Universal, Triloka/Mercury, Hearts of Space, City of Tribes, 6 Degrees and XDot25. Riffat has worked with producers Narada Michael Walden and Miles Copeland.  Sukhawat is featured on several upcoming tracks by Janaka Selekta.  Riffat has a beautiful, powerful and infectious voice that always gets people dancing and can be heard regularly at Dhamaal!

DJ Dragonfly – DJ Dragonfly is the creator of numerous monthly and annual West coast gatherings. His events consistently reflect a personal mission statement of offering dance and gatherings as a celebration of self, spirit and community. DJ Dragonfly runs The Groove Garden, Mantra Lounge, Gathering of Light, Globetrot and co-produces the annuasl weekend festival Earthdance. He is a regularly featured DJ on the conscious dance-culture scene.

Mozaic
DJ/Producer Mozaic's genre-blasting sound fuses a sexy, psychedelic swirl of deep, funky tech-house, breaks, electro, acid, tribal, techno, IDM, discopunk, progressive, and bass-heavy midtempo, dancehall and hip-hop- all seamlessly mixed. Equal parts cerebral and emotional, this is body-music with mystical roots. Since 2000, Mozaic has played up and down the West Coast. From outdoor parties and warehouse renegades, to festivals and industry events, and also a recurring guest spot at San Francisco's legendary afterhours institution, The Endup- with acts like: Doc Martin, Mark Farina, Tipper, Hybrid, Jeno, Garth, Markie, Simon, BLIM, Inland Knights, Rasoul, Spearhead, and Ozomatli.

DJ Sep
DJ Sep is the founder of Dub Mission. A weekly Sunday night party running for more than eight years at Elbo Room, Dub Mission represents the cutting-edge dub and roots reggae music and has featured many of the greats in dub & reggae world, including Mad Professor, Adrian Sherwood, Twilight Circus Dub Sound System and The Scientist, to name a few. She is also the host of "Off The Beaten Path," an eclectic mix of many forms of electronic music that airs on Monday nights at 10 pm on KPFA in Berkeley (www.kpfa.org).
She has spun at venues and clubs throughout the Bay Area, as well as in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, and has opened for a wide array of artists including, The Wailers, Les Nubians, Rachid Taha, AfroCelt Sound System, Transglobal Underground, Badmarsh & Shr, Kruder & Dorfmeister and Nortec Collective.
