Visionary Underground UK, Dhamaal Sound System and Sukhawat Ali Khan

Farewell Party for Skratch Technician Mercurybonez who is going on sabbatical to Austin TX to join Nintendo's design time for the game Metroid. He'll be back but you won't get to see him cutting it up with Dhamaal for a year - come convince him not to go :)!!

Dhamaal Soundsystem will be joined by DJ Zeph in October who has produced a number of hip hop tracks (available on site for free) as well as being an incredible turntablist (he is part of the legendary Future Primitive hip hip crew - nuff said).

Visionary Underground: Often the States witness the cutting edge of music and art many moons after it has become commonplace in Europe. In September, Dhamaal San Francisco and Didjital LA bring Stateside from the UK a group that is taking the breakbeat and Asian electronica scenes by storm: Visionary Underground. With breaks remixes of Nitin Sawhney and Asian Dub Foundation (ft. Sinead O'Connor) under their belts they have recently played at festivals in the UK to audiences of over 100,000. Listen for yourselves - their album is available on their website for free - just download the mp3s! Representing the crew Producer/DJ FeelFree and Aref Durvesh on Tabla take the stage.

FeelFree - DJ/Producer
He has been djing and beat mixing since 1989, and producing underground dance music since the mid nineties. In 2000 he formed a partnership with Xfile that is now the backbone of VU's writing and production activities. Alongside VU's debut album FeelFree is also getting together with DJ Ges-e (Nasha) to write some strictly dancefloor asian breakbeat mixes.

Aref Durvesh - Tabla Wizard
Aref comes from a musical family that spans five generations. One of his first recording experiences was to accompany his father, Abdul Kadir Durvesh on a studio session with George Harrison. A classically trained Asian musician who loves club culture, he has collaborated with artists as diverse as Nitin Sawney, Badmarsh & Shri, Sting, Transglobal Underground and the London Symphony Orchestra.
