Dear Friend:
We are very excited to bring you the Second
Annual Dhamaal Sights and Sounds Festival showcasing
art cultures of South Asia from the Bay Area and abroad.
We plan to attract over 5000 people from the greater
Bay Area and beyond throughout the course of the festival.
Our diverse fan base spans students to well-established
professionals drawing from many different San Francisco
ethnic communities and age groups. The scheduled events
mirror the interests of our diverse community showcasing
club-oriented, live fusion to Indian Classical performances.
Over the last six years Dhamaal has developed a deep
history of community involvement, working to raise money
for various non-profits locally and internationally
from East Bay South Asian Women’s Abuse outreach
group Narika, to
AIDS in Africa and the Breast Cancer Research Fund.
This year we would like to donate ten percent of all
event proceeds toward the relief efforts of the tragic
disaster in Asia. We will be supporting the efforts
of CARE International
and Sarvodaya
(both are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations). Make your
donation of any amount to the festival. We ask that
you then subtract 10% from you gift to Dhamaal and write
a separate check for that amount to CARE or Sarvodaya
directly, so that your organization will be able to
take the tax benefit directly. We will then submit all
the checks to each respective organization after the
festival is finished.
We realize that the festival kick-off is rapidly approaching,
but we wanted to share a truly amazing and talented
line up of artists with the Bay Area! We are seeking
sponsorship to make this exciting festival a huge success.
This is a great opportunity to ensure that the arts
of South Asia continue to thrive and are passed on to
the next generations.
Why Sponsor:
Sponsoring the Dhamaal Sights and Sounds Festival is
an effective way to:
- Support the rich history of South Asian artistry and
for new artistic hybrids of the culture

rub elbows with world-renowned artists as well as entertain
clients and prospects!
